hi Guys,

Today, due to my own incompetence, I managed to run my gearbox dry - severe lock up of the front wheels; 50 mph to zero in a few seconds. Very scary.
My fault entirely - I've had the car some time, but never checked the gearbox level. It was on my 'to do' list......!
It's stuck solid - engine starts and car rolls okay with clutch engaged, but won't shift even after putting in a litre of gearbox oil and rocking it.
I've spoken with Mr Reno and hopefully, he's got an early R5 box that will fit.
Lesson learned - keep an eye on your levels....
If anyone else has got one, it's for an R1126 1974 R4 - 782 cc engine.
It's marked up 354 28 on the gearbox.

That is some bad luck. I have a gearbox here in Holland but it is for a 845cc engine so the ratio is probably off.
But you might be able to scavenge parts to make a working gearbox. If you can wait till april I can bring it over to the Kent Run.

Thanks - I'll keep it in mind. Hopefully Mr Reno will come up trumps....!
