self cancelling indicators

replaced my gtl steering wheel with one from a r5. took the standard one off and found two "tangs" on the base of the hub for self cancelling indicators. mine does not have this function, so, was it an option or an oversight. nice to have self cancelling indicators if possible. steve

all latest dashboard 81 on 4s should have self cancelling indicators however experience tells me that the alignment on the mechanism crucial for it to work
it is possible that the plastic arm on the end of the switch has snapped off also if you change steering wheel the relative positions can alter
have had to drill holes in the back of aftermarket steering wheels and insert self tapping screws to recreate the pegs before now
