Hi Clanman, I can't say what are the best aftermarket shocks in the UK, but I've got KYB rear shocks on my GTL and they are fine. They've been on there a couple of years, done about 10,000 miles with no trouble at all. In that time we've done a few trips to France, sometimes carrying a lot of gear, brought back several bottles of the runny stuff, and they have performed very well.

Ian had a shock on Saturday when a mystery guest popped by the mill and make his day

My first choice was decarbon (available form french ebay) but when i added shipping cost they were to expensive for me at this moment.

So i went for cheaper solution Monroe. All 4 socks for 530KN (cca 60 GBP). It was some action buy 3, one get free + discount form my local car shop.
front part no R3248
rear part no R2587

Time will tell are they good for R4!

Yes deCarbon are said to be the best David, but I reckon that KYB are a lot cheaper alternative. I paid less than £90 for the pair, and they are giving good service.
