LVC 1976 TL.
Unfortunately due to job and family commitments I have now decided to sell my 1976 TL.
The good news first. She has just been re-commissioned by Derek at Renospeed and for a 1976 car that has been in a barn for the last 11 years she is generally in good working order.
The work that has just been carried out by Renospeed is as follows:
• New Battery
• Chassis fully Dintol/waxoiled by Derek who knows where to spray!
• New radiator
• Full service engine service i.e. new belts oils waters etc….
• New S/H Carb
• New ball joints
• New drive shaft gaiter
• Four new tyres and steel rims
• New MOT
• New petrol tank
• New petrol pump
LVC has covered 74,000 miles from new and has a 12 months MOT and six months Tax. The car is wonderfully nostalgic to drive and has the original interior, which is in generally good order. Derek at Renospeed tells me the amazing aspect about this little car is the chassis is in remarkably good condition with no rust on the major chassis legs..
The bits that are not so good.
The car has been badly spayed a dark green colure, although the colure really suites the car (in my opinion) I think the paint needs to be looked at and redone. The car was originally white and still remains white inside, as the cheap spray job did not extend to the inside of the car!
The driver’s side floor has had a patch welded in at some point and although this has just passed an MOT this (along with tidying up the passenger’s side) should really be taken off and cleaned up properly.
This little car is exactly at the right time to save. It will make a wonderful first time restoration car and to be honest it would be a relatively straight forward restoration job for someone with the right skills, with the added benefit of being able to be done while running around in her.
The other aspect that is appealing about this little car is it would make a great first time car as she is only the 850cc engine so therefore very cheap to insure but also immensely practical and very individual….
I am looking for £3770 ono
