My 1984 Renault 4 GTL is for sale. I just don't have the time to enjoy the car as much as I'd hoped, so it's time to let someone else have a turn.

It was Mot'd earlier this month with a recorded mileage of just 22,558 - and didn't need any attention (again).

I'm the third owner - the other two were a husband and wife - and the car has some history, including the original sales invoice and some earlier MOT certificates. It was garage stored for a number of years and the exterior and interior condition is good; I have since replaced the original Kleber tyres and carried out some other work.

The car is in Portishead, near Bristol - let me know if you want any more details.

We all seem to have the same question ?
How much do you want to sell it for?
If you are just 'sniffing' for a price then you are not helping anyone!
Give people an idea and you might sell it.

Price?

...having read Clementine's price guide, I would be looking for offers in excess of £2,000 - feel free to send me a PM to discuss further.

Offer?

Hi,

I'm a long-term Renault fan having started with R16s and my first new car was a 1973 R6TL which I ran for 15 years and 155,000 miles through rust etc., but it was finally the engine that failed on the M25!

I am very interested in your R4 and am planning to be in Bristol next Saturday, 16th May to look at a Saab 9000, and could call by to have a look/make an offer if possible? Somewhere in excess of £2000 seems reasonable for a genuine, trouble-free car.

Email me at pholmes1000@btinternet.com or call me on 01926 614008 to discuss.

regards,

Peter Holmes

Welcome, She does look very nice - post some photos once you get rid of those hubcaps. :D

Cheers Malcolm

The wheel trims are already in the bin!

The cars a good 'un.

The plan is to use it as it stands over summer and then strip it down (windows out etc) and get it painted over the winter.

It was a strnge motoring weekend: I was alternating between a Renault 4 and a Caterham R500: talk about opposite ends of the motoring scale
