Just be out for a spin in the F6 to check the small problems dealt with were cured, happy days they are, but into about 3/4s of the trip my speedo just died, looking at it looks as if the cable has had it just above the gearbox end, can just see behind the clock itself ,looks to just be a clip to remove, but whats involved gearbox end, my hands aren't by any means enormous, but the space where speedo drive is looks only accessable to micro beings. There is a 10 mm bolt going into the gearbox main casing near drive that may possibly be reached with something suitable, does this hold cable in, or is that just wishfull thinking and theres a lot more to it than that?

Hi Laxeian

The speedo cable is easy enough to remove at gearbox end. You are right you will have to release the 10mm spanner size bolt you mentioned. It is easier to release from underneath the car once you have removed the undertray. Then try to wiggle the cable free from the top standing up. If it is stubborn to come out, on closer inspection you will see a lip with a circular recess on the metal end piece of the speedo cable which will be sitting proud of the speedo drive. Wedge a long flat headed screwdriver into the recess and gently tap the handle of the screwdriver in an upward direction which will free off the cable from the speedo drive. I find this easier to do from underneath the car at a sideways angle I hope this helps. By the way I lived in Galicia for a while.

Best Regards

Intention of F6 is eventually to turn it into a light camper to travel South for winters!
