Starting:Tour from Nuremberg to Brighton London Oxfordshire Inverness....

At the camping place in Hardwick we had to push the car a couple of times to get it started. May be a problem with the battery regulator. No problems besides that.

Best wishes! Will post some pics soon.

If you're near Stratford upon Avon this weekend they have a massive classic car rally over the Sunday and the Monday, Quentin Wilson (ex Top Gear is helping host it)

They have a great Road run on both days and you are supposed to pay £25 to enter but you can just tag along with everyone else!

The non starting issue tends to be the solenoid on the starter motor, they get hot and expand and then won't slide to engage the starter!

Urgent Request!

We found out the regulator is ok but the Generator is broken.
I guess it's the diodes.
now we need an Ac_ Generator ,ducellier
we are in kinross in the windstrae hotel.
we will get a hire car later and hope to fetch a generator from anywhere in the vicinity of 100miles. Suggestions welcome. Let us know!

You might be able to find a new alternator in stock at a Motor Factor (car spares supplier). There are Motor Factors in Perth (nice town worth a visit) or Kirkcaldy or Glenrothes (not so nice towns to visit). You can find their numbers from http://www.yell.com and give them a call to see if they have one. Ask for an alternator not a generator.
