strange knocking noise, Renault Rodeo 6, same chassis like R4

Hi everybody, I have got an Renault Rodeo 6, built 79, which got the Chassis from the R4. There is a knocking noise coming from the left underground side ( I think so) durging drive, esp. off the road. Sound like the typicall sound from the pipe hitting the chassis, but its not. I am in Senegal, no specialists for these kind of cars and no spare parts available. Any idea, what it could be? Thanks

It's worth checking for play in the driveshaft/the upper wishbone (worn bushes?) and balljoint/ the tie-rod bush and bolt/shock absorber fixings. If there's a creaking sound when you push down on the front wing, the lower balljoint is the usual suspect.
