T Shape Thing

Can anyone point me to somewhere I can purchase the plastic 'T' shape thing that connects the breather pipes on top of the rocker cover on my '83 R4? (I hope that I have described this correctly). Thanks. Michael

Hello Michael, I don't think you will find this T piece new anywhere now, so perhaps someone here can sell you a good second hand one. They do get brittle with age, all that heat, so I throw mine away when it split, blanked off the two pipes, (inlet manifold and carb) and ran a rubber hose from the rocker cover down the back of the engine to the chassis. years ago I installed a sprinkler system in our garden. There were plenty of 90degree plastic corners and T pieces. If I remember correctly the plastic piping was 12mm but I think it came in 15mm as well. So, try a gardening shop or nursery, it just may work!

I concur with mojobaby, it should be easy to source for a few pence - search "barbed equal T" with the internal diameter of the pipe. You can order almost any size from pipe fittings suppliers in a range of sizes/materials, we use this kind of thing a lot in pump systems at work.
