A couple of weeks ago someone posted a message saying there was an NSU for sale on the internet and that there were some R4s in the background. Well I have been in contact with the person and have visited his property. I'm not sure how to describe what I saw. its not a scrapyard as he does not break anything. Its more of a graveyard. There must have been at least 100 cars in this yard with over 13 R4s and one R6 in various state of decay.
It was a bit sad really but Douglas who owns the cars is a really nice guy of retirement age and I am sure is perfectly willing to negotiate.
I am going to buy a complete front end for an 850.
I took lots of photos and have posted it on You Tube so you can all see for yourself.
If you are interested I can pass on his email address but once I have picked up my bits.
Forget bodywork and chassis. Engines, gearboxes, instruments, perhaps suspension and steering racks. No interiors worth saving and no early steering wheels
