A car that has been advertised on here for sale and yet again unsuccessfully sold on ebay. i thought as i am a genuinely interested buyer that i would make an offer. as with all offers its a process ,you start low they get refused and you settle on a price you are both happy with.. its how i bought my morris traveller. its a polite english way to do things... well anyway this is the reply i got " SUZANNE IT WOULD BE QUITE A JOB GETTING A WHOLE CAR UP YOUR ARSE SO I'D SETTLE FOR JUST STICKING YOUR OFFER UP THERE" i think my offer was a bit low. but anyway unfortunately for colins owner i was in the position to offer probably what he wanted... but if this is how he treats potential buyers i would rather have my offer up my arse than my £4000 in his pocket.

Well said elimasu, he's obviously no gentleman and no doubt will have the car in his possession for some time.

:(Poor Colin.

He deserves better.

Anyway a huge welcome to the forum elimasu . You are among friends and it is worth waiting for the right car. It will come along!

Malcolm/Steve Hope you are tuned into this!

Hi elimasu and welcome to the forum!

Not even slightly surprised you got that sort of response sadly. Its plain for all to see that the car is worth nothing like that but unfortunately the vendor doesn't seem to want to accept that fact. Shame, as it looks quite a nice car really.

I'm guessing you've already seen the other discussion on this car?

no i havent seen other thread , will go and have a look , what was it about ? suzanne

have found thread..

will keep looking for my dream car.

This is a link to the previous thread http://www.renault4.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=4369

I don't like to close threads, but as soon as the vendor comes on there's going to be a slagging match, and we don't like those on the forum. Probably everything has already been said that is useful.

Good luck in finding a 4. As has been suggested in a lot of threads the underlying chassis and body condition are the things I look for in a R4.
