Hello everyone
from the records of the honest John website there are only 488 renault 4 's registered in the uk.
It doesn't quite add up. Would love some clarification on the numbers from some well informed members :)
 
in general? or of a set model? 488 GTL sounds reasonable.
 
I had no idea they are so rare as 8 million were made. They must have scrapped almost all of them to extinction. Nice to see a few are left :)
 
500 sounds about right to me. I wonder how many of the 8 million were sold in the UK? Is there a way of finding out?

most are prob like this, and the DVLA have decided that they have been scrapped, must like what they think Savanna has been :(
 
According to www.howmanyleft.co.uk from summer 2014

GTL 134 taxed, 135 sorn (off the road)
R4 43 taxed 15 sorn
Deluxe 20 taxed 14 sorn
F6 23 taxed 27 sorn
TL 23 taxed 26 sorn
Pick up 2 taxed 0 sorn
Total 462
245 cars roadworthy

Won't be a perfect figure. There are a bunch more still knocking around in barns from before sorn came out. Also they seem to have missed out the F4 and various R4 derivatives such as the Rodeo.

245 cars roadworthy in the UK is probably reasonably accurate. Everyone bring them to the Kent Run next May. We normally get 15 or 20 there.

And one that says scrapped on the DVLA database but is sat on my drive complete.

So thats 463 R4s about :D

Maybe 464...because i can't remember when i last put a sorn on Rene C303 O.O
 
There are about +/- 1000 R4`s in the Netherlands..
