Thermostat

I really must buy a manual

I have an 1108cc R4 and cannot find the thermostat or thermostat housing for this matter...bit embarassing really...considering I am an ex car mechanic!!!!!!!!!!! But these car are a little weird eh
SO where is it?

It's fitted inside the top hose at the water pump end - you'll see two hose clips, one to retain the thermostat and the other to hold the hose to the pump.

But sometimes, when the thermostat is not proparly installed, or one of the clips is gone... it is possible that the thermostat is not in place anymore, and it is somewhere between housing and radiator... ( been there before )

Thanks Mausje, The thermostat is in place, I don't seem to have any circulation through the heate, I'm giving it another go today, I'm ok with mechanics but new to R4s. Regards Atlas
