well might not be quite that long although its been off the road for 10
its got a spark tries to fire if you put a drop of petrol down the carb

theres no fuel coming from the inline filter fitted on top of the rocker cover

i put just under 1/2 a plastic fuel can in the tank i was wondering if that was enough if it was completely empty?

trying again once ive charged the battery up and bought a whole can full to put in it

Better take a long piece of fuel hose and run it from the pump inlet to draw fuel from a can. Suck from the pump outlet until fuel comes off, then reconnect it. Crank the engine for a while then tap on the top of the carb where the fuel pipe connects (to free possibly jamming float needle).
With the choke pulled fully out, it should start! If not it will be probably due to fuel pump, better replace it.
If it does start, try putting some 5 liters of fuel in the tank and re connect the fuel pump correctly, if it runs, at least the pickup tube in the tank isn't blocked!

ta for the info
blew the petrol line out then reconnected and blew into the tank
the connecting pipe to the pump then leaked everywhere!
replaced that this morning and put a new inline filter in
cleaned the little bit of stale fuel out the carb float bowl and it fired up !
runs great and clutch etc is fine
onlt ran it for 5 mins to warm the oil as its black and old
drained the oil and replaced the filter and realised id left the new oil back at work!
going to replace the antifreeze and oil next weekend

main jobs are all the brake lines need replacing and the headlights are rusted inside

anyone have a set of spare headlights?
and a new n/side wing?

thats all for now i will keep u posted

Great to hear of cars coming back on the road! as a matter of safety don't forget to replace the brake fluid before driving her on the road. The old brake fluid be full of moisture absorbed from the atmosphere, then the wheel cylinders will leak, and so it goes on.
Good luck anyway and happy fixing.:)
