It was nice to see an early RHD R4 being driven around - I think it was 8699 MG, which we saw at the 50th anniversary at Brooklands in 2011.
Shame they thought it necessary to destroy one (and a 2CV) - there must have been some salvageable parts.

The seats were in better condition than mine and the right colour. Such a waste. Nice to see it on TV though.

I watched last week's, in which they did exactly the same thing to a Lada! mind you, it had managed to out-do the BBC's top of the range Range Rover, which had broken down while filming the Lada, so I expect they wanted to get their own back on the Russia's answer to the Renault 4.

I cannot see the need to destroy cars which must be good for parts to an enthusiast!
