were R4s assembled on South Africa

I Have consulted wikipedia and no mention is made of this, other Renaults were put together here. The body has a plate showing seat belts conform to British Standards, I have restored a lot of local minis and this plate was not on them. Does anyone know of they were exported to SA built up?

I have now inspected my 4 more closely , and the glass fitted is local to SA, this was done to increase the weight of local content to avoid heavy import taxes. So the answer is , yes, R4s were assembled in SA, finishing in 1971.
