wheel cylinder replacement

I am having my local guy rebuild the brakes on my 1973 F4 van. All 4 wheel cylinders need replacing, and the only marks to identify them are "BXF 0023" cast into the body.
HELP...
Can you tell from that which system the car has?
Are the cylinders interchangeable?
I know the usual suspect suppliers but who do you think would be best?
Thanks in advance.

Bendix and the rear are not interchangeable ,they are 19mm,original Bendix here are 26 euro,s.The fronts can be different sizes ,we normaly fit the later ones as it is a fiddly job on the car.

Front wheel cylinders will always be 23,8mm diameter. Your car is fitted with the easy to obtain long bodied ones, so no problem at all. Keep in mind that they are handed.

Rear wheel cylinders are all based on the same casting, no matter if the system is Girling on Bendix, so they are totally interchangeable and also identical on both left and right hand sides. What you should look for is internal diameter, according to the RTA the F4 was originally fitted with 20,6mm rear wheel cylinders.
