Wheels Wanted

I'm after a couple of sets of wheels:

A set of 4 GTL wheels for winter use and as a spare set for when wheels need to go away to be refurbished.

A set of 3 or 4 early (1972) van wheels - like the early TL wheels but without the nut for the hub cap. Those are for the Rodeo. I have TL wheels with the hub cap nuts and could do a swap if necessary.

I would be very grateful for a couple of Renault 5 TX alloy wheel centre caps too.

Anyone got anything knocking around?

I'm not sure what wheels the R6 has. If they were front disc brake wheels they would probably work - for the winter wheels I'm after a set that will fit over the GTL brake disc bolts. Apart from that I'm not fussy.

The R5 TX is running brilliantly after carb fiddling and a new starter motor. It'll be my everyday car for the next week or two as the modern car has broken.

I have come across a few wheels recently and once have scrapped rodeo and 4 will work out what I have got excess don't think got van rims though most UK vans had bolt on trims except very early f6 with drums and some 5L 845
Will be able to find tx centres I hope too as found a big bucket of assorted caps and chrome nuts to go through
The famous barn is know empty apart from some engines and boxes
have been pretty busy as were 70 cars here 18 months ago
last car out was the 4wd r6 chassis which is being scrapped Monday

Was it the council tax problem that killed the barn in the end? Hope the salvageable cars found new homes.

I'd love the TX center caps. I'm missing 2 and was half thinking about sticking something from eBay on, but it's nicer to be original.

I think the Rodeo had the van type wheels originally, then someone changed the wheels for ones with better tyres with TL type rims. I have a couple of the van ones. It would be nice to have the van style but it's not the end of the world if I stay with the TL wheels. Started on the seatbelt mountings for the Rodeo over the winter break. http://www.renault4.co.uk/rodeo-mot.htm

The Renault 6 wheels look a bit ugly. GTL ones would be better for the winter tyre spare set.

Don't suppose you have any more R5 1108 32mm carburettors left? I sent a mixture screw to Lobster from my last Zenith IF7. Didn't realise it was the last one. Looking for a rear view mirror for a GTL too (the windscreen one).

The barn was starting to fall down and ended up being too damp for keeping restorable cars in and too expensive for donor cars
Very few cars scrapped and a drier smaller storage found
I have grabbed all r4 and 5 stuff and will be going through it properly soon after deciding what I may need
Another friend has bought the 69 and 72 cars along with early parts with intentions of getting both working
There is one rim on front of grey gtl I am breaking it has smooth centre but vent holes for discs guess you were looking for plain
Lastly found useful rodeo forum https://translate.googleusercontent...l.html&usg=ALkJrhi11Y9mmQB8UZPyy8ruI9VYNX7jyA
