Where is my brake light switch?

Hello, I have trouble with my '85 Renault 4, 850cc. (I believe its an L but the plaque is missing and it doesn't say in the paper work) my break lights aren't working anymore so I assume my switch is faulty. The manual says it is located at the end of the master break cylinder however there is none. The only two wires coming from it whatsoever come from the little break fluid container's lid however I played around with those and even when I try to bridge the connection between them it does nothing to the break lights.
Where ist my switch?

If your heater blower isn't working either, it'll be the fuse. Worth a quick check!

On later cars the brake switch is inside the cabin on top of the brake pedal.

This was the clue that I needed! Thank you a lot. The fuse wasn't blown but the little brass tap that holds it was bent so it couldn't make contact.
