whistling

a whistling has started on my renualt megane scenic ive had a new exhaust and new belts but its still whistling and cant figure out were its coming from if any one else has had this problem maybe they can help me out thanks

Lots of things can whistle. What conditions does the car whistle under? If it can be made to happen when stationary you might be able to narrow down the area it's coming from by listening from outside the car. Maybe with the bonnet open if that helps.

when the bonnet is open u can hear it more, when im on the motorway doing around 70 then the sound disappears but if im doing a normal 30 then its still there

sounds like a pulley bearing?...maybe waterpump bearing noise...check around the base of the timing cover to see if theres any crusty antifreeze marks..

thank you for the reply checked it but its not the pulley bearing waterpump an the engine gone rough its strated to run fast
