Windscreen removal/replacement procedure?

Hi

Any hints or tips on how to remove an old windscreen (whole, to use as a pattern), and fit the replacement? The rubbers seem good, but I guess I will find out how good while removing the old windscreen.

If the windscreen rubber needs replacing, there's a good used one here:

Fitting the screen is straightforward if you have someone to hold it in place while you pull the cord from the inside.
