Hi we have a 1987 Renault 4 clan, we disassembled it a couple of years ago and gave the engine refresh, trouble is since then we have disassembled 2 citreon cvs, guess who forgot to label all the nuts bolts and various other things
Anyway what we are stuck on is the wiring of the Renault specifically the coil does anyone have a simplistic picture of the wiring diagram as the one in the haynes manual doesn't seem to cover the correct year.

There are two connections to the coil, (apart from the big thick high voltage wire, which is connected to the centre of the distributor) and one of these becomes live when the ignition is switched on. This wire connects to the "+" side of the coil. The other thin wire on the "-"side or "C.B." connection on the coil goes into the body of the distributor, where it is connected to the points.

I remember someone on this forum made some schematics with wire colors etc.
