1983 R4 GTL for sale

Advertising on here to give anyone a chance before putting on ebay.

I've had this car for 3 years and it's been a good little runner and very reliable, but now has to go as i have other things that need attention.
It has an MOT & Tax until October, it has been repainted (brushed & rollered ) and looks fine but obviously not as good as spraying, the floor is good but it has been repaired properly and not bodged, it will however ( in my opinion ) need the rear axle changing for the next MOT, (one will be supplied with the car) although there were no advisories last time, in all a cheap little run about that needs some extra TLC. looking for around £1000.

I'm not going to take up to much space with photo's but if you would like some more please pm me.

Hi Bobble, you strike me as an experienced R4'er so I'm intrigued as to what is wrong with the back axle that makes you think it needs replacement?

The back axle is deteriorating around both the swinging arm bushes where the dirt collects and i know you can get replacements but i think it would be easier and quicker to replace the axle rather than repair, it's still solid enough and drives very well.

Yes it should do, but i thought it best to give people on here a chance first (we have to keep it in the family) i do like red and it seems that's all i kept finding until just recently, it's been a good little runner but like you i have other projects so must move on.

Huh you say that and how true it is. But I did buy a dark blue gtl the other week that somebody on here put me onto locally. And then a Saab 95 estate that I must say I have fallen in love with

Just an update about the little red R4 which has been sold ( sold in the first week ) and have been waiting for it to be collected by a transporter which it was today and is now on it's way to Ireland.

Hi All,

The little red R4 is now safely in Hillsborough (NI).
This is my first R4 although my mother had one when I was about
9 years old. I will post the occasional photo once work on her commences.
