Amazing Andy ! Nice photo. Is that without reconditioning the engine ? My R4 has only done 130000 km (80778 miles) and sounds good since I set the tappets. I also use STP in the engine which makes it even quieter.
Yes, it's the original engine. I was very lucky to find a low-mileage F6 (30,000) back in 1997; I've changed the oil and filter every 3,000 miles since then. Apart from a burnt exhaust valve about 15 years ago, the engine's been great (fingers crossed...)!

WOW! My R4 'Noddy' is now back on the road after 17 years in storage. So he had an excellent chassis/body, although I had to spend 5K on him replacing all the steering joints/bushes, complete new braking system, The correct original Gas De carbon shocks, New drive shafts/seals. Sun visor, New springs/foam in the front seats, New carpets, and plenty of 'Fatmat' insulation. New exhaust, 123 electronic distributor, New Grey front grille. I also run with both front/rear silencers fitted so the engine is really quiet. And nice driving with the sunroof open. Oh I still have the nice 4L mud flap kits here that I made, but nobody wants them !

Your forgetting the frigging huge radiator....

Nice! I think it's mandatory on Cyprus to keep it cool.

Nice rig!

Thanks, the excellent full alloy radiator was only €200 on EBAY, plus the cheap €20 postage France-Cyprus. And he runs well without a thermostat at around at 85c.

Re the above lovely picture. On my R4’s, both french, therefore LHD, thé wipers are on the passenger side and at rest point to the roadside. So don’t understand what is going on here.

Good spot, Edwin. On all the R4's I've seen, the windscreen wipers 'park' on the opposite side of the windscreen to the steering wheel.

But a Google image search does show some that have wipers resting on the driver's side

It's my 1975 R4 with the single speed wiper motor. Wipers on such systems always park on driver's side. After 1977 when they changed to two-speed motor and longer blades, they parked diagonally on passenger's side.
(Wipers worked really hard one day before I shot this photo!)

Thanks for that. At least I am not mad! I have a 72 car and I had not spotted the direction of the wipers, mainly because they were not on the car when I got it. After 5 years resting my garage, paul Cunningham has refurbed the mechanics and I will see it again , with wipers fitted, next week I hope!
I had not expected to be driving through windscreen wipers.
