..As a trip to Paradise and a meeting with our Master and Commander is such a rare privilege for a mere mortal like myself, I would like to celebrate the event by asking you all to guess how many Renault 4's are in this pic?

The winner will no no longe receive a cd, but on this occasion I am pushing the boat out and will be presenting the winner with a top quality Panoramic Camera complete with Truprint Film, Non Leica lense, manual lense cover, manual wind, F-all focus, triple bound PTFE black strap and traditional leather effect plastic carrying case - A prize that I think you will all agree that is well worth going for ?

This pic by the way was The Bedford Gathering circa 1982...It was the highlight of the Midland social season, almost eclipsing The Henley Royal Renault 4 Horse Regatta!!

Bedford in those days was not the green and pleasant place it is today, I see. I'll hazard a guess but only if I can win the Take That CD that we were promised once. 292? And can anyone spot their own R4 amongst them?

..Close Bluebell..

..But not close enough!!

Didnt you recently get the Take That CD in the guise of sommit' else?

I found out recently that my father was a Rolling Stone - How about that?

So guess now or......This could be the last time!!

I just pity the guy up front-the one in that 2CV causing this pile-up!
my guess would be 513 give or take 2 -R.

Beautiful world.....

Go on then, I've just found my glasses, what about 387?

No, the Take That CD never came in my direction. It was one of life's great disappointments. I remember Malcolm once saying he would rather move away from Paradise than be sent it, but I don't remember what happened to it after that.

You mighn't know your luck Bluebell!
ages ago I won a C&W cd in a quiz-
Listened to it through my new big speakers
It was as though the band were in the room with me
-Never turned on my stereo again! -R.

I make it 318 (coincidentally the Orange Andalou paint code shared by 10 of the cars in the photo). The paradise visitors book has a few more so expect angry phone calls from those who are left out. Ought to have got your personal helicoptor pilot to fly a little higher there.

Though we can forgive him if you had one of those CDs playing at the time - he was probably plunging towards the easy escape. :D Can I donate my camera to Greeney if I tell you exactly how many R4 owners signed the visitors book?

..Brillant Reidalpine..

..You were almost correct - Goodness only know how long you took to count them all - The answer is 512. It took me 3 days 6 hours and 66 minutes to count them all.

Please send me a pm with your address and your prize will be winging its way to you on Monday..

This is me at Malcolm's last Thursday - I obviously shouldnt have dressed up as within 10 minutes I was under his new project spraying away and then he had me changing the head gasket on his Gordini engine single handedly - mind you when he went to make the coffee, I did cheat and used 2 hands!!

Needless to say my lovely new Moss Bros black £1350 sale suit is now grey!!

It does. Anytime -All the time! Greeney will also have the right to a body-wash incl massage and private bath-duck. -R.

..Already planning the trip Reidar..

..Assuming Greeney is up for the all over Norwegian body wash and duck bath whatever that is and he could be persuaded to fly north like a reverse swallow and I could tempt Malcolm to down his sprayer for a long weekend, I think it would be fun but how far are you from Haugersund as my friend Michael O'Leary owns an airline that flys there and I am sure I could persuade him to give us some cheap flight tickets?

We could get there, hire a Renault 4 for 4 and the rest would be up to you Reidar!!

Anyone else want to come along?

ian-Haugesund is on the west-coast some 7hrs drive away on tiny Dinky-roads,my suggestion would be to lend your friend O'Leary a
map so he could land on Rygge airport some 45mins away...
-I know they had flights there earlier, but they might be Banned
charging overweight for ID's....
You'd have a hard time renting a R4 over here-they are hardly ever sold on-Only way to get one is to adopt..
You'd be best off taking the ferry from Harwich to Gothenburg -Yes I know that's Sweden but sometime it can't be helped!- 2 hours drive on motorway-You can go flat out all the way,and you're in my driveway... -R.

It would be lovely to visit, but I might have to be counted out. My business plan this year relies very heavilly on not spending any money at all.

I'm developing a device that will raise the rear of a Renault 4 by clamping the rear of a car in an anti-gravity field generated by a Renault 4 body and chassis suspended just the right distance apart. I'm told photos of the prototype in action have already sneaked out onto the internet. It'll make me a billionaire. Ha ha ha ha (mad scientist laugh)

You might consider working your way over-I hear O'Leary has developed a system of doing external overhauls midair.
You should have the expertice as their planes are based mainly on R4-parts from the factory in Tanger. -R.
