..Well Team, on my travels somewhere over Easter Weekend my mileometer clicked up this magical number - 111111 - As its so magical, I am going to run one of my famous QUIZZES - The prize will be my latest CD release..

To win the fab cd, you must answer ALL 3 questions correctly:

1: In which COUNTY was I when the magical 111111 came up?

2: Whose music was I listening to when the magical 111111 came up? (see clues below)

3: If I set off from London and drove to the SUN without stopping off in Bridlington for a day or two, how many times would 111111 have appeared on my milometer?

The answer to question number 3 is 0 times. Space (being a vacuum) is unlikely to turn the wheels over. And you can't motor the wheels because space is a vacuum and won't run the motor.

Can't imagine the answer to question 2, and won't comment on your taste in music.

To be extra safe for question 1 I'll hazzard a guess of Kent.

..of course I couldnt drive to the sun as in reality it would take too long, there would be very few service stations selling unleaded fuel on the way and it may get a bit hot when I got near BUT I mean if I COULD actually just drive to the sun, like driving to Caister in the summer?

...So, how many times will 111111 click over on the trip?

..and well done - Wiltshire it was and these pics will show you a famous landmark nearby..

..and for those of you who dont know what this is, its Stone Henge - The oldest continuously inhabited building in the world. Built in 2200 bc by some local Wiltshire builders as a show home, the design was considered too modern at the time and no one bought 'off plan', so the estate of 26 similar buildings in a courtyard setting never took off.

It was also in the wrong place at the time - The A303 hadnt been constructed so 180,000 cars a day didnt race pass with Dads shouting at their unseatbelted children in the back 'Look children, Stone Henge - would you like a house like that?'

So Greeney - get the last question right and the CD will be on its way to France?

Calling it a milometer nearly caught me out. Its an odimeter and according to the photo its in kilo metres. Therefore the answer to your question is 135 !!
Distance from sun 152.6 max 147.4 min millions km. Lets call it 150 mil km. Divide 111111 = 135 !!

This is getting very complicated but I think you will find the "odometer" is in MPH with KPH is on the inside of the dial.
I did notice on one of the pictures you are an alloy short and have a normal rim on it did you have a puncture?

You are right Greeney!!! its in mph therefore the answer must be about 93 mil miles divided by 111111 =837!!!!

Don't forget the return journey (assuming Ian, his Renault, and his newly built road to the sun dotted with petrol stations are all sun proof and a return journey is possible). Not sure if Ian is planning to travel to the centre of the sun or skirt around the outside - that'll make a fair difference as the diameter of the sun is 870000 miles (pretty big). Also don't forget the mathematical probability thing and add 1 to the final result (he started off pretty close to the first 111111).

..So confusing..

..Well you are all on the right track but are making some silly mistakes..

..The question was How many time would I see the magical number 111111 on a 93 million mile trip to the Sun?

..So a little help ...my ODOMETER as we will now call it, (a mileage one - well spotted Malcolm) god willing, will go round and round madly till it reaches the even more magical number of 999999 (I think and hope) - 1 mile off a million?

Therefore, how many time will I see 111111 on my trip of 93 million miles?

And the answer is....?

..And well spotted Malcolm, you really should have been a detective... I did have a puncture on my way to Stone Henge, hence the odd wheel.

.. I also had the amazing luck of being able to take this unique photo in the Renault 4 world of My fab car and the Orient Express zooming along at 150 miles an hour on its way to Venice with Poirot aboard solving the famous case of The Murder on the Alton to New Alresford line.

I have also put up a similar photo taken in 1987 as well a pic of Rudis' black babe in the same spot 3 years ago!!

I also mentioned earlier that Stone Henge was the oldest continuously inhabited building in the world - Someone has since told me that 41 Acacia Avenue Surbiton has been inhabited slightly longer.
