Ok here we go I've got a 1975 renault 4 tl ,any opinions which is better an su carb conversion or the original zenith .
Thanks mark

It depends on how original you want the car to look!

I like SU carbs, (basically they are a bucket with a hole) and with the variable jet can be made to perform how you want them too, I normally find the economical too!

Mark,
The car ran much better after we fitted the SU carb, I have one on mIne and really like it.

It seems to be an interesting argument, I am having a look on the net about this SU carbs... can I have some additional info?
It is an easy swap?

probably easier to fit a r5 carb and manifold it will then breathe a lot better and go better !

Hi member, do you know website where i can get new carb? I try to search in r4 web and in ebay bt never get a zenith 28if. Can anyone help m out?

there's an almost new 28if on le bon coin 40e just a small piece missing which you could swap over from your old carb

Now I have a solex 32DIS on the 956 and a solex 32EISA in the 845... but I had a look on ebay and those carb look quite expensive, so I think I will keep mines!
