Brilliant day decided for once to tour the city rather than spend my day on my butt drinking beers, so with camera in hand off i went, was amazed the amount of cars there more than my little camera can handle but took 300+ pîcs and hope you enjoy

so if your by chance visiting the area this time next year, the circuit des remparts is well recommended..

I was there too, got a flight over and then got a lift down from Saumur in the Bugatti race winning T35B, which was great fun! Travelled in convoy with another Bugatti 35B and an Alfa Romeo Monza. Spotted many R4's en route, around 15, best spot though was a Citroen H van pick up. One R4 trophy car was in the paddock, it had a nice paintjob of lightblue and white. Do like the paint schemes thye make up for the R4 trophy.

Can't look at your excellent photos any more - giving me a crick in my neck. Any chance next time you can take them "horizontally"? ;)

PS. Anybody wondering where Dept 16 is, it is the Charente, about half way down France and to the west, about half way between La Rochelle and Limoges (too far away for a day trip for me).

I'm considering going to this event next year, I'll hopefully have the choice by then of either my Morris MO Oxford, Renault 4 or if I haven't sold it by then my Volvo 480ES.
