Floods

Hasn't the weather been AWFUL lately? What's it like where you are? Here our valley is flooded and the pompiers have been busy all day. We watched these firemen try and rescue a couple of horses stuck between the river and a weir but they decided it was impossible so they took them some hay. Many of the cattle are standing knee deep in water with nowhere to go, looking very miserable.

We've got the same in our neck of the woods - but at least the sun came out today.

Very wet here too, but no floods. We had a thunderstorm in Avignon this afternoon. It was awfully windy on the aeroplane landing and I'm amazed we made it down in one piece.

How close to the the village did the flood waters reach? Bet you are glad for your steep hill.

There's usually a fearsome wind just before it rains here.

I saw it on the news, I was afraid to see an R4 stacked with other cars.

Luckily Claude lives up the hill so is safe and sound - and we now have a lovely lakeside view
