..As luck would have it, I decided to try and 'give away' the rear seat from my recently acquired french Renault 4 as an ebay 24 hour treat but would you believe it...not one person in the WORLD wanted to take on a small re-upholstery project - Needless to say my wife who considers me to be a complete and utter dimwit said that I shouldnt have advertised a left hand drive Renault 4 rear seat on British Ebay and I would have got a lot more or even a bid had I put it on French Ebay..cant work out her thought of train on that one!!
So there we are -I thought I would share my disappointment with you all and this afternoon I stuck a couple of short bed legs on it and its now sitting in pride of place in our guests gite...and our current guests cant believe their luck...a decent seat at last, although pinning the back rest to the wall with the 2 swinging hinge brackets taxed my ingenuity but I did manage to stop it falling forward but it was quite a pain...
