GTL handbrake cable (on rear wheels)

Hi everyone

Am in the middle of some work on the brakes on the GTL (1986), and have discovered that the sleeves on the replacement handbrake cables I've got are shorter than on the originals - c. 120 as opposed to c. 130 cm. The PR900 gives the part number as 7704001812 for both sides, and the replacement ones are BC2493, which is supposed to be an equivalent.
Anyway, has anyone else had the same problem? And can anyone give me a source for the 130cm-sleeved ones?

Thanks
Andy

I have in the middle of looking for two.

I have same number for rear handbrake cables - 7704001812

This one i have found as substitution for original part
ATE - 24.3727-1004.2
TRW - GCH1482
TEXTAR - 44036400
Ther are for certain other part no from other manufacturers.

It end up that is hard to find any of these cables.

At the end i will put any that can be find.
One that i remove from car will send to cable guy who is making cables according to sample you give him.

An update - to Petak especially.
Mister Auto uk have the ATE cables in stock; I've ordered a pair. The dimensions given in the listing diagram seem fine, so will keep my fingers crossed that they fit.
Thanks again!

Great find....ATE is my favorite manufacturer for brake parts.

Unfortunately Mister auto does not ship outside UK.

Looking at their ebay sight they do not ship outside Italy.

will ask them if they are willing to send over the sea. :D

TX!

Think the numbers got supreceded to the longer ones to enable them to fit F6 vans which are longer chassis
As with all cross reference part numbers after market can make there own rules up especially if they've just had a batch of shorter ones produced
