..As strange at it may seem for those who know me, once a month I visit my friend Tony get to get what little hair I have left cut.

He is a really nice chap and its a little know fact that he has more male and female celebrity clients than Toni and Guy, whoever they are.

Every time I go in, I am sitting next to someone famous which makes one feel a bit odd - last week it was Chris Martin of Coldplay - Now thats what I was waiting for as he is from near Exeter - so am I. He is married to a Star - so am I. He releases CD's every so often - so do I, although I have beaten Coldpaly to My Greatest Hits release. He is a fine piano player - so am I. He drives a Green 1984 Renault 4 - so do I and finally he likes performing on stage - so do I, but only with my comic genius partner Martin 'Te He' Roche, who amazingly enough is also married to a Star called Fiona, but she is a different class of star - she is a real stratospheric star.

So I told Chris Martin that his new Coldpaly CD was not my cuppa tea, although I told him I really like Clocks, but not ones that chime all the time, which confused him slightly.

A month or so ago I was next to Harry Enfield and I gave him some comic ideas that he has promised to use in his new show Harry and Paul, coming soon to BBC 1

Next time it could even be James May and then I will go all out to get Renaults 4's performing on Top Gear

Anyway back to Tony - he has a lovely wife called Cula (?) and 2 lovely girls one of whom Greeney is going to try help find a job.

He has 3 lovely assistants - Editha from Latvia, Ms X representing the Czech Republic (sorry cant remember your name) and a new polish lady called Monika.

So at last Tony, your name is up in lights and see you next time. Sorry if all this publicity drives off all your celebrity heads away to other snippers, but c'est la vie.

And when you see him next, say hello to Frank Lampard from me and tell him to pass the ball more and not hog it all the time.

And..Dzien dobry Monika, hie potnij sie nozyczkami

You do go to a posh hairdresser. Your Tony even calls himself Anthony! My hairdresser in the local village of Kempston is also called Tony. He is Italian and his haircuts last for months. I've not had to visit since January.

James May once wrote a very nice article in a newspaper saying Renault 4s remind him of France which is a lovely place because they have cafes. I think he's a fan. We should lobby him to say nice things about R4s more often.

My hairdresser flies in from Spain once a month to cut my hair - and coincidentally, neither of us are famous!
( I don't know if I qualify to comment, no longer being a proud R4 owner:()

Have you sold/scrapped the R4? I was going to suggest you train the young one to do the restoration which would keep them out of trouble. They can be pressed into service from the age of 4 so far as I understand.

The R4 has gone to a good home - along with the spares I collected for her. All being well, she will be off to Mongolia next year!
