Could Thenay be a good place to buy a car? Should be a selection for sale, all in the same place rather than chasing them up all over the place.
Advice on rust is worth noting - the first one we bought here (on EBay) would not have passed an MOT in the UK - it had a couple of large holes in the chassis that the CT tester was not concerned about (subsequently repaired immediately after it passed), but it did fail on rusty headlights!
There is a garage on the old RN between Pont L'Eveque and Caen that has a large selection of R4's / 2CV's etc outside if you are passing that way.

The 'road trip' refers to the trip to the french meeting at Thenay I think!
