Hi Brian,
Seems you were right and I wasn't that lucky finding a clutch cable that fitted the gtl after all, the clutch cable I found was that bit bigger by around 10 inches but the end parts were very similar,that's why I thought it would fit however, when I took the old one off it looked fine, so it will to do for now.
