Small brake down at moulin Bodin. The tensioner for the lower fan belt on my 1.1 shot out from under the bonnet as I was trying to start it. (Dead starter receiving a clump) luckily it didn't damage my freshly painted bonnet.

All the ball bearings now lie on top of the gearbox and the center race is still attached to the car with the circlip.

Phoned round three scrapyards. No nothing for R4 they all said. Onto leboncoin and yes found on up in les herbiers. Picked it up, along with a replacement starter motor and I'm now about to go down to the MB and fit them. Great service. Not looking forward to the starter though.

Oh no!! I feel your pain. If you're looking for a silver lining to your cloud; at least your workshop isn't already occupied with my old van, and at least only metal was affected

Have got a spare inner wing and a few bits here if chassis survived without damage no bonnet as needed for my yellow peril

Would love your inner wing if it's not wanted as mine is worse than this one?
