Maybe you already know this, but make sure that any pages you consult apply to 'Cléon' engines (which include 1108cc); ignore anything that refers to 'Billancourt' engines - a completely different engine (845cc and down).

Changing the starter motor is fairly straightforward on a RHD car, but much more involved on LHD cars!

The Mister Auto own brand starter (Bolk) is cheaper on eBay:

The Renault part number for 688-engined starters is: 7701499200 or 7701351394. Some Estafettes had the 'same' engine. Worth double-checking before you buy, though.
