i have been trying to access the page with the price guide for R4s but somehow it doesn't come up. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, I may need to sell my beloved car, but need advice on how much it is worth. 1984 gtl, 90 000 miles, yellow, a bit tatty, mot due in oct ( could have it checked out before), tax dec, recently new ( refurb) gearbox and some welding, lovely and reliable little car.....

Prices don't seem to be following the usual rules of supply and demand. Few cars available and there is growing market interest. I think there will always be a few uk rhd cars entering the sales market each year (maybe as few as 15) but most of the 300 or so existing owners in the uk find the price is reassuring but not tempting enough to sell. Therefore the price appears low but masked by the 'sentimental , value' we put on our cars.
Ownership and interest brings a unique benefit - being a member of this forum and the RCCC - a great group of friends. Now that is priceless!

I think there is scope for movement at the lower, entry level, and this along with the likely introduction of new chassis will add pressure to prices. Eg. Solid new chassis c. £1500 plus a £1000 or less project car plus tlc and you could have a minty worth £3k plus. Seems to fit !
