Took my GTL to the Louth classic car show today and to my surprise it picked up a first in class.
I was particularly please as the judging is all by the members of the public voting.
So there must be a lot out there with a soft spot for the R4 and not just us nutters who indulge our hobby.

Fantastic I am really delighted for you. Renault 4s have always and will always be the best. At least they give us pleasure in driving them and not like modern cars.

Thanks for sharing the good news with us but I would love to see some pics PLEASE!

Yes, well done Gary. So many people have fond memories of the R4, except motor-engineers who spent their apprenticeships repairing them and replacing chassis!

Did not take any pictures today did not even know the car was being judged.
This picture was taken at Belvoir Castle show a couple of weeks ago.
The second one is my sad old 850 six after 5 days of attack.

Your 4 is looking very good Gary, I can see why it got a prize, and those wheels really set it off. It looks like you've got a bit carried away with the 6 strip-down. It can only get better. Can't it?
