I've had no luck at all on ebay. Mine is still up for sale as a Christmas bargain, fully restored, 12 months MOT, as-new chassis. £1900. Full description and images on my previous post!
Hi....
strange it never sold....theres a grey one on there at the moment with 16 bids....saying exterior fully restored....but the underneath wont have been done like yours....
I suspect its just a case of too close to Christmas, buyers are preoccupied with buying lots and lots of shiny things to wrap up rather then old Renaults.
There ain't much you can do about it but I wonder if being on IOW puts people off if they perceive that it will entail extra cost / hassle.
I agree with Lobster, wrong side of Christmas, if you can wait, try again in the spring, but I don't really think its your location, great place to visit, and the ferry doesn't cost a fortune does it. As for the colour, I love it, makes a pleasent change from red.
Hi I'm very interested in the car, but am somewhat concerned about the gap between front wings and bonnet - though not necessarily a deal breaker. How tricky would it be to fix?
Don't be, they are all like that. Its a similar story with the door gaps, and the bootlid. Renault made the gaps massive to hide the questionable quality control at the factory. Its normal to be able to get the first knuckle of your index finger between panels at the wider points...
