R4 Pick up on ebay

Here s a convertable i saw in Hamburg about 2002

Now I admit, I am definitely no expert, but this looks like it's been a van with the top chopped off?. Yes I know, that's what they all are!, but really, I've looked and looked but can't find a photo of an R4 pickup that looks like this one. If you look closely it looks as though it's sagging in the middle? Anyone know for sure if it's a factory/Sinpar model?, got a photo of a similar one?.

I reckon it's a conversion. The F6 pickup is more common and that has a special tailgate with RENAULT pressed into it. The F4 on eBay looks like it has a cut down tailgate. Scanned the internet and couldn't find anything to compare it with, but evidence for the hinge is still there on the boot lid so it's not a factory job.

Not that it matters - looks fun, and the strength is in the chassis so no probs in chopping the roof off. Wouldn't bid for it without having a good look first though as there are also some signs of corrosion.
 
We use to supply the Renault pick up conversion to a local drainage
company ,It was better when they built it out of the f6 because they
put the bulkhead 10 inches further back.With the f4 the drivers seat
would only go half way back.
