This is a repost - We have owned this Renault 4 since 1995, done 91,000 miles. Looked after it well and kept it going, a couple of years ago put on 4 new wings and had it sprayed. The underside has been slowly disintegrating(as they do) and over the years have had a fair amount of welding done underneath. Now however it is in need of some serious attention so we have decided to sell it on (already have a classic camper to look after).
The interior is in good nick for it's age - it was used almost everyday - and the top bodywork is sound, engine and gearbox are good, it runs well, doesn't use oil etc.
Suspension mountings on both sides at the back together with the chassis sections need replacing, so it needs turning over, suspension removing and a proper job doing - it's past being patched any more. Both front floor corners also need repairing. As far as I know everything else is pretty well OK, over the years have replaced suspension ball joints, steering rack, CV joints etc.
I understand that all the necessary plates and body parts are available from Warny in Belgium.
I have no idea what it's worth but if you're interested in it let me know and we can talk about it - probably looking at around £350.00
