Sad to say but we have decided we must put Bee our Barn Find 4TL up for sale, as our circumstances have changed and it no longer makes sense for us to keep her.
She has been subject to an extensive renovation project as has been detailed over many pages in the Project forum under the thread title Barn Find; there you will find she has a chassis as good as new and all rusty body panels renewed. She is now in a condition that will last many years.
Since we have owned her we have put four new tyres on her with very little milage done since, a new thermostat, flushed the cooling system through and new coolant with anti freeze added, fitted a Kenlowe cooling fan in place of the original engine driven fan (which together with it's cowling will be in the boot!), had a full tuning set up done by our local and very good garage (the mechanic loved working on her) so she is running just like an R4 should, and made various small adjustments to various mechanical bits.
Unfortunately, family commitments all this summer have been very time consuming so I have not been able to do all that I was planning to do and have not had time even to run her much - a car like her needs to be used and kept under cover which has not been possible this summer, so she needs to go to a new owner.
She is MOT'd until next March and she has just been taxed for 6 months.
Given all the work that has been done on her, the chassis is like new now, the rotten body panels are all replaced, the mechanicals are all up to scratch, the interior is in very good condition indeed and the milage is genuine at 43513 at the moment, we would like just to cover the costs we have have incurred and are asking £2500.00 or near offer.
Would prefer it if she went to a forum member........
