We've had Rose, R4 GLX, C915 YFX since 2004 and have always planned to restore her. She was bought as a going concern and used for a year, she came of the road in early 2006. Since then she's been stored on a concrete drive but we had to move her today to a farm carpark.
With a charged battery she really wanted to start (she has a lot of heart!) but there appears to be a fuel delivery problem (not showing fuel in the inline filter on top of the rocker cover). She fires on easy start and I could rig up a gravity fuel feed to test her unless the fuel delivey is an easy fix. The engine was always good as are gearbox and ancillaries etc.
The condition is representative of an unrestored car, she will need a big patch on the floor underneath the drivers seat, but I don't think the chassis is too bad. Body a bit faded an battered, but pretty solid, she will need 2headlights. Brakes and electrics all appear to work ok.
We'll look to get some pictures and confirm mileage (c80k) soon, I've tried to be really honest with description, we'll be heartborken to see her go
but think she'll be better off being used than stored.
