Well we've just had a lovely dinner of

Chicken and bacon in a cream sauce with leeks and beans sautéed in garlic and butter with swede and potato mash,

It was a kind of left overs day as we're not shopping till tomorrow.

I'm now sat here drinking a lovely glass of Bunahabain and listening to Russell Brand and Jonathon Ross on Radio two.

Whats everyone else doing?

Reading your post on the forum :p

But before that a meal of Toulouse sausage, mash and cabbage after spending all day watching a man install a poele à bois at our new house and before watching Merlin on TV.

lol not doing owt else then claude?

I've just been getting the mountain bikes ready for a trip to Cannock Chase tomorrow.

S'funny but I was just thinking that my mountain bikes worth 4 times the cost of my Renault 4!

Cor you reply with 2 posts quicker than I can edit one :o

The poele à bois is worth as much as Claude the van and it's only a lump of cast iron.

Well, Pepper, we had a dinner party last night so I had a kitchen full of dirty dishes this morning. But just after our porridge the builder rang to say he had arrived to fit a woodburning stove in our other chateau and where the **** were we? We were expecting him next week not this - my fault as I tend to get into a panic when French artisans bombard me with times and dates on the phone!

So although it's bedtime I'm still washing the best china!

Blimey you;ve all been having stoves fitted today then!

Ahh, could you put a stere of wood to one side for me?

I'd be all ready for the crimbo break then.

Just hoping the oil prices are going down as rapidly in France as they are here in the UK?

Our red diesel for the farms gone down from a high of 81p down to 49p a litre this week.

Ahh, that'd be a real bummer!

I normally only buy about 400 litres a years but sheesh I've seen the price go up big time!

This post must be setting some kind of record for the most replies in the shortest time - you were asking how I spent my Saturday nights

Well I tend to hang around three or four forums,

Singletrackworld, MTBing
ARonline, saddo people who actually like Austin Rover cars ;)
Morris Oxford, Wolsley 6/80 Register (I own an MO)
Ebay (mon ami)
and here, I've just finished my latest book, and I do tend to do rather a lot of reading.
Rest of famly are watching a John Wayne film in the other room.

Just trying to find any MTBing events around the Vendee for the winter, I hope to ride a couple of events during my holidays.
