As president and founder member of the www.vowelssocietyofgreatbritain.co.uk I would like to ask all you clever dicks to tell me the only word in the english language that has all the vowels in the correct order backwards other than 'Unoriental'..?

Where in the world in France are you Mr VW Powe-red - I know where Woody is (where are you Woody and are you still at LA C?) and a I know where Mrs and Mrs Poirvre live so lets have an August R 4 wine tasting at my place and if I behave myself at Greeneys, Bluebells and Chris's place, and my old french sweetheart Gisele's place in Lyons perhaps we could persuade them to come and join us as well as Wing Commander Malcolm - Wouldn't that be fun?

Bonjour fellow matelot! An oasis in the land of the sun flowers - is that boat for sale? - I foolishly sold my Henshaw 'Tinker Star Traveller' last year on ebay. (That 4 needs a pair of lovehandles.) I feel like the Ancient Mariner - water, water everywhere etc. - it's still raining here. Thank heavens I live 100feet above sea level.:eek: Speaking of our famous musical Mark - there's an unconfirmed rumour hereabouts that our great grannies may have made 'hooky' mats together.

I've been seeking out four candles. Are they for one of the off-road cars? In which case do you mind if they are black and badly painted, white, one with a crack, or a mix of both? Do you need fixing screws? I've found the boot lock wothout the key. Fortunately it is already unlocked.

..Four crappy candles is all I need as long as they have the threaded bit to attach to the doors as well as the candle for the boot please...

They are for the off roader and any colour and condition gratefully accepted. Any chance of sticking them in a jiffy bag tomorrow as Kate is in UK till 17th?

I will send you something nice in exchange like a lanyard or two to hang your keys and mobile phone on as well as a Pain au Chocolate for your continental breakfast!!!

I ended up pulling the ones off Yvette (had been saving a spare set for her) - badly painted black ones I'm afraid. Will post at lunchtime.

I don't need a lanyard but can you guess what I would like? Need to be removed very carefully - flat knife under one edge will ping the trim from the plastic clips, but there's also a nut right at the front that goes through the wing that would need grinding off from the inside of the wing first.

Brilliant, thanks. I just need the front one - I have plenty of all the others. I'm not in a hurry - need to finish the car first, so no need to trust the postal system.

Are we having a Renault 4 meeting in September? Sounds like a good idea.
