Hello everyone, so, she's now for sale... Renault 4 GTL 1984 RHD
Emerald Green in colour and the paintwork is in good condition polishing up well.
The car sits on an original Renault chassis which has only had 1000 miles use (by me). The chassis was new and purchased from a trusted forum member. The job of transferring body shell and engine was performed by Derek at Reno Speed. All the brake pipes were replaced with new during the transfer as were the rear brakes. Now I will list the extras.
New Renault fuel tank. (200 miles)
New Delphi shocks all around. (200 miles)
New Renault radiator. (200 miles)
New clutch when chassis exchange took place. (1000 miles)
New Stainless steel exhaust. (200 miles)
New rear light lenses.
New Renault wiper stalks
Powder coated bumpers and love handles. (Grey)
Powder coated air filter cover and battery tray. (Black)
1980's Motorola radio.
Recondition starter motor.
Head rests.
Tow bar fitted but not wired up. (Never towed with new chassis)
I have a complete set of original door rubbers still in their bags apart from the bottom section of the rear door which has been fitted.
There is a slight dent in the rear offside panel but I have a new panel which I will include in the sale.
There is rust in the nearside quarter panel but I have a new panel which I will include in the sale.
The front seats are faded somewhat and the car would benefit from torsion bar adjustment.
Okay, after a good wash and wax I was reminded of a scratch along the nearside, some 'have not' thought it fun to run a key along the side... The scratch hasn't dented any of the panelling but has taken off paint. There's a few scratches and stone chips in the paintwork and a little cosmetic work to be done but essentially the car is solid and a real good example. She started on the third turn after standing in storage for ten months. She drives beautifully, I used her daily and is a real head turner. 102k miles. The car now has 1 year MOT) and have 6 months road tax to be added. There is NO rust anywhere in the rear arch area.
The car is not top end perfect but you'd have to go a long way to find a better example of a 30 year old R4, further to find one for sale. All the hard work is done. Price £2800 No offers, this is the price I want. The car will not go onto ebay. If it doesn't sell this time around it will simply go back into storage.

Thanks for your interest

(I still can't believe I'm letting her go!)

I'll post more of interior and engine bay later today..
