Unfortunately the current situation didn't allow me to use the spare time I found to work directly on the car.
I left it at the beginning of March like this:



Fortunately I had some works to perform at home!
I cleaned the engine and the gearbox and printed some plastic covers to protect the holes from the water (and for the storage):



And started to clean, test and fix all the cables.

Speaking of electricity I wanted to give my "electronic relay" circuit a proper box to fill with resin instead of the heat-shrinkable sleeve I used four years ago when I made it (it's red just because I had red ABS ready to use)





I've got something more on my mind at the moment.
- I'd like to make a fuse box like the original in the same place but with modern blade type fuses (I think 3d printing could be handy this time as well)
- I'm thinking about making all the windows except the windscreen in lexan, do something already exist or do I need to go on my own way?

There is something more I forgot.
My instrument cluster had a badly bent speedo needle so I tried to model and print it myself

I think I need a warmer white, but for the moment I'm leaving it this way

It's going to be sandblasted!

The body came back from sandblasting and is going through the final bits to take away every single spot of remaining damaged pieces.






Meanwhile I found something I was looking for a very long time, a rear door without lights.
I've been quite lucky to find a NOS original Renault one still packed

And I have also found two Renault seats I'd like to put in the car. Anybody knows where they come from?

Time to paint.
I was sure about 417 Bleu Versailles (top) until I saw the sample, so I asked for another one in 430 Bleu Océan and, that's it.

I made my decision for the 417 also on your pictures, but when I saw the sample it looked a little bit too dark for me.

430 is a little lighter and even if it isn't period correct I really like it, this morning I saw it painted live for the first time and... I do like this colour so much!

I think 417 has a bit of purple in it making it a deeper blue. 430 is indeed brighter and it is period correct.

Another little mod I'm working on, trying to get a clean look for the indicators on the dashboard.
It isn't going to be yellow, obviously, that's just a fitting test

Another little mod I designed
I already saw people replacing the rubber/plastic on the shift lever with a spherical bearing, but usually it is welded to a lever.
I didn't want to modify the lever that much in case I didn't like the solution, so I printed and housing to put it in place with 3 bolts "plug and play"

Idea with bearing at lever is fantastic. As rubber deteriorate to fast. Must see what sound will be while driving and changing gears.

Did you printed some other original details from interior? One that can not be bought, for instance? Clips? Plugs?
