It's confusing, the genuine French way!The so called "1961" is that cars of yearmodel 1962 but produced in 1961? A bit confusing!
We need to find that information out so we can assemble a definitive set of facts and information concerning the cars for the Forum. I have extracted info from the guide to the renault 4 by Berthonnet pub in French 2013 by ETAI. Maybe we could assemble all these bits, maybe in another forum heading category, for us all to draw on.Also, on that list, whole 1992 production in Slovenia is missing.

If I interpreted above on my car 99526 it seems to be manufactured first half calendar year 1962 as a model year 1962
Ours is R1120 47139 RHD and was first registered in the UK in June '62
