I seem to remember that when I was doing my exams back in eighties and the technology race was just hotting up and we were all told that when all the technology came right we'd be having loads of leisure time and that we'd all be able to retire at 50.

It seems to me that we've mucked up the financial services and are now going to have to work longer than our parents had too and that the technology is being used to make sure we damm well are working hard too!

Pah I spent most of my day having to watch safety DVD's at 3 shops I visited before they would let me start work.
Even though they were the same chain and that I've seen over 16 of these DVD sessions in the past month! This has taken nearly an hour per time so 16 hours of watching pointless safety videos because of our claim and blame culture!

I reckon the worst inheritance the last goverment has left us is all the big brother surveillance with them nosing and checking upon our lives.

I remember being told that we were looking forward to a future of leisure too. I definately remember being told that everyone could retire early and have a life like the shiny people in magazines and drive sportscars around in the sun.

Hey ho. Still, shouldn't complain too much. I did get to drive 450 miles in a Sprinter on Wednesday so I must be living the dream right?

Well to cheer you up Pepper..

Watch this video and it will prove that you and I, Malcolm, Michael, Mark and perhaps most of the rest of this fab site team are not the only clever odd looking nutters in the world!!

Mind you, I speak mainly for myself!!

i remember when they said CD's were scratch resistant

Anyone remember "Tomorrows World"? They got a few things right about the future, calculators, computers and CDs, but what happened to us all having flying cars, and on a serious note, there is still a shortage of food for millions of poor souls in many parts of the world thanks to the greed of so-called civilised nations.

Just reading a book about the Soviet Union, 15 years in the Gulag for being late for work ...benefit not an option...
