Hi Ndelilio, it's really great that you've started working on your engine yourself.

Now that you've taken the head off, DO NOT let those pistons move. Not even 1mm! Keep the car in neutral. The pistons are in a sleeve (liner) and there is a paper seal under the sleeve. If the seal is broken by movement of the piston, then you will get water flowing into your oil.

You should now also get a new gasket.

When you bolt the cylinder head back, they should be tightened with a Torque wrench to 45 foot/pounds and also in a certain order.
At this stage if you are going to work on your engine yourself, get a Haynes manual; it really does help
Good luck!

Hi mojobaby....yes friend of my warn me about piston moves. it will cost me to buy liner papers to fix them again

l dont have Haynes manual l just remember what my mechanics did last time and l copy it today....

i dont know that Torque wrench. if you have it can you send m a picture of it?.Thanks

Hi Ndelilio, get some bolts and big washers to hold the liner sleeves in place, so that they do not move. To replace the paper seals, the pistons and liners have to come out. It is almost impossible to do that with the engine in the car

You should watch this Youtube video on how to torque the bolts on the cylinder head
it's 25 minutes long but well worth watching
I will take a photo of my torque wrench later

l take cylinder head to local metal workshop and help me to fix... they put something like copper in that plug hole. but at the end when l put plug it tight:laughing:
